2014 4R SR5 2wd, 80,000mi. I just put a set of new stock size tires on which are much quieter than what I pulled off. Now at 65 to 75mph I can here a slight whine that sounds like rear gear, very slight. Did some searches here and a couple other places and am still not sure if I got it right. Changed the rear diff. oil with it warm and only got 2 1/2 quarts out on level ground. It took all of the 3 new quarts to get to just under the bottom of the fill plug threads. Does this sound right? Thanks for any info.

Sounds like your diff was a bit underfilled before. Here is a link to some useful info for you in regards to drive line servicing....

Edit: just noticed that yours is a 2wd. I'd check the owners manual if you have it to confirm rear diff oil capacity. I'm assuming it's the same as a 4wd, but not positive.

2nd edit: just consulted my manual, no separate listing for a 2wd...
