Hey everyone. Anyone care to share their recommendations or setups they have for a rear dash cam? I already have a front and I don't plan on having the two connected. Interested if anyone has a rear dash separate without running any wires through the headliner.

My biggest problem is fixing the rear camera it self. I see no videos how to remove that headliner pin / plug. Everyone says its easy but scared to play with anything holding the headliner. Also I see it has to be a custom bracket you need to buy a piece of aluminum from hardware store, drill it, and put a nut.

My rear door didn't come with a dash. I'm not installing a new rear dash either.

I ran my wiring under the passenger door sill panel following the OEM harness to the rear. I went up to the headliner at the D pillar. I did this to avoid having to go through the entire headliner plus I have a moonroof so another obstacle to deal with.

I guess you could have two systems by using the 12 volt outlet in the rear but then you have to sync both to each other.

I wonder if I just suction one to the rear side window with an arm swingout and use the 12V in the cargo area. hopefully the wideview camera would catch everything
