    Hey Everyone,

I cannot find a single thread about this topic. I am going to get my 6112’s set to the max height and a local shop wants to put OME 2891 rear springs since I requested only a 2” total lift in the rear. Has anyone heard of this on a 5th Gen or should I just use the Icon 2” rear springs?

The 2891 is a heavy load spring, might ride a little more rough than you’re expecting it to. Do you have armor or plan on carrying any gear all the time? I have an Icon 2” lift coil paired with fox shocks and it rides great.

At this time I do not plan to add more weight. I compared the 2889 to the 2891 and spring rate is 260 on the 2889, but only 210 on the 2891. I am hoping that makes the ride softer even thought it is a heavy load spring. I couldn’t find the specs on the icon to compare. I just thought it was a strange they want to use a 3rd gen part when there are so many other options for the 5th gen.

A lot of rear coils for 5th gen fit 4th gens and some late 3rd gens I believe. For what it’s worth, I have the Icon 52700 rear coils and they’re great.

Yeah, I might just buy those and bring them for the install. Do you get about 2” of lift with the Icon or it is a little more? Still curious if anyone out there has the OME 891 setup on a 5th to get some ideas between that and the icon.

I currently have Icon 2” rear springs with a 10mm OME trim pack spacer to even it out. They work fine, they do what I wanted, I just don’t like Icon. I’m swapping them out here pretty soon when I install my rear bumper.

Agent_Outside, know anyone running the OME 2891 on a 5th gen, and what are you swapping the icon’s out for?
