Straightforward install. Did it solo with 3” ramps and the factory floor jack. Good fitment and quality. I like it.

    That looks good!

I’ve got RCI skids on my T4R that were built / installed before they made the Catalytic Converter wings. I bought the wings recently but haven’t installed yet. My install will require removing / drilling holes in the transmission skid to mate to the holes in the wings but should be fairly easy to do…

    Cheers,
    Bob

How long have you had your RCI skids? Any issues? I’m pleased with the fit and finish of mine and happy I was able to keep the TRD front skid. I’m not planning on any hardcore off-roading and like how it looks. The integration, transmission and transfer case skids are really beefy. The cat guards will hopefully be enough of a deterrent should my car be targeted by cat thieves. I’m very pleased with this package.

Same story with mine. My newest RCI skids are 2021 and didn't have holes for cat protection wings. I gave up the plan to go through the trouble.

BTW my 2021 transfer case skid cross member is tad shorter than my 2018 RCI ones. It was a pain in the A to install that cross member..:annoyed:

I purchased and installed in late 2021. When I installed, everything fit fine with no issues. Since installing, I have not had any issues but should add that I have not done any off roading beyond a few nice forest service roads.
I have added an SSO bumper, Warn winch, Dobinsons lift springs, JBA upper control arms, Bilstein 5100 shocks, Auxbeam control panel, front camera, FRAC harness and Baja Designs Squadron Pro lights. With the exception of new tires to replace the OEM Dunlops, I’ve just about completed the build plan for my rig….

    Cheers,

I found that I had to tighten the hell out of the bolts that hold the vertical end plates of the transfer case skid cross member. When I torqued them as recommended, the cross member was loose and had up/down movement. Maybe mine was a tad too short as well.

I have skids I bought in early 2019. The new cat wings will not work with the older skid. The edge of the old skid turns up at maybe a 60 angle. The newer skids turn up at 90. The new cat wings would lay out flat on the old skids.
