Started hearing this annoying vibration/rattle sound this week but it was way worse today
    • Happens far less on smooth roads...seems worse in dips, not as bad coming over rises.
    • Only happens between 45 and 65mph (although less between 60 and 65)
    • Sounds almost like a hard wire or something vibrating against the edge of a thin stamped steel part.
Cannot find anything loose under the dash, the plastic trim at the side of the windshield cowl seems secure...

I did try moving the thin rubber engine shield and those push pins are loose but it's more of a squeak sound. Could it be that at speed it doesnt squeak?

    Check the plastic fender liners?

To rule it out, just put 3 or 4 little pieces of duck tape along the length of the thin rubber fender liner to keep it from moving around. That fixed my problem entirely. Sometimes it squeaked, sometimes it was a faint rattle. Not anymore.

Yeah, I wrapped a bread tie under the plastic fastener and no noise this morning, will see if it stays gone...crazy if that's it though...
