Hey everyone! Install raptor lights on my 2022 ORP and having fuse issues. The INJ fuse is so high that I can’t put the fuse cover back on. I’d like to be able to turn on the lights without turning on my headlights fully. There doesn’t appear to be a DRL fuse on the 2022… anybody have any better options, tips, or way to wire to the DRLs?

Get a test light or multi meter and see what underhood fuses are powered when A) the key is in the ACC position or B) the car is running but the lights are not switched on. Its not a hard process and the draw from the lights is minimal so you can really choose which curcuit you want to tap into. I ended up wiring mine to the LH-LO light fuse so they are only on when the lights are on.

Is there a INJ in the fuse box under the hood?

@Jynarik , yes, but when I tap into it using the fuse adapter, the adapter gets in the way of the fuse box cover so I can’t close it.

Ah, gotcha. Assumed you were using under dash box. I don’t have an answer for ya other than you can buy an extended fuse cover… or run it to under dash, but you’ll have the same problem. At least they’re not exposed to weather under there.

Hmm extended fuse cover is a good idea. You don’t happen to have link? Did a quick search and only finding under-dash extensions.

I tap it into EFI no.2.

@paifatboy you just replaced the 10a fuse with the 7.5a?

Yeah dumb question - my adaptor came with a 10a that replaces the existing fuse. Looks like I’ll have to buy a 7.5a fuse that’ll fit it cause the stock fuse isn’t compatible. But easy fix, thank you!

My fuse adaptor came with 5a fuse ( I think the raptor lights draw about 3.5a). I installed it for a couple months with no problem at all. :)

EFI No. 2 worked like a champ! Hopefully won’t cause any issues with fuel injection later, but sounds like you’ve had no issues. thanks for the tip!

@A&P your 18 has different fuse layouts than the 2022 unfortunately… I may opt to find a fuse under the dash though. Figured out why tapping into EFI No. 2 isn’t common practice - apparent the vehicle does a regular system check even when off through that fuse. So the lights will randomly turn on. Haven’t decided if this is a big issue to me or not… might run the battery down faster?
Considering alternative options, so anybody with a 2020 or newer - I’m all ears!

You can try the ACC fuse under the dash but it will make the raptor lights on all the time when the car is on. The TAIL fuse under the dash should make the raptor lights come on only when the headlights are on

So just starting myself to figure out grille lights.
Is there a wiring diagram or diagrams out there for these?
Id personally prefer to have them on an independent switch in the ole switch bank to decide when to be on or off. Is that an uncommon scenario? Ive yet to get my hands on any— been waiting for the combo pro grille and light accessory to get back in stock to buy….

I did this on my 2017. Run the power wire for the lights under the dash on the driver side. Use the add a circuit on the Tailight fuse. Raptor lights will turn on with turns/tails/DRL's in the parking light setting. Will not be on when lights are set to Auto and the DRL's are on (sunny out). Will turn on in Auto when the headlights turn on (dark out) or the switch is set to headlights on.

Also, if you want an extended fuse cover 4RunnerTX on IG is 3D printing some killer extended covers. Got one on my 2017 and it fits well.

I played it safe. I didn't want to mess with these switches. My power comes from a positive wire tap from 12v cigarette lighter with a fuse and a switch in between.

I did the same and it works almost perfectly for me.

My only issue is sometimes I want them on during the day (on a cloudy day for example) but keep the low beam off. So I switch to the parking light settings but the clock light and AC lights dim as if the low beams were on. Any idea on how to keep the clock/AC from dimming when switching to parking lights?

I bought these Seven Sparta Upgraded 4 PCS Led... for my 2023 SR5 Premium. Fit is perfect. Wiring was easy. The suggested fuse locations made it difficult to close the lid as mentioned before. I ended up pulling a wire through the firewall and utilizing the ACC fuse slot to have them on all the time. The firewall pull was easy as there is an extra nipple in the plug with the main harness and the hood release - just had to puncture it and pull the wire. Images with different lights on.
