Need to know the modular shelf depth(front to back) and RAGO says they can't release that information because I could be a competitor sourcing(top secret)information. Whatever! but I'm not prepared to drop nearly a grand to find out. Ya know?

If you have a Gen5 RAGO shelf? How deep is it?

    Thanks

So they aren’t posting the dimensions of items they’re selling? Funny they expect people to fork out a ton of money and not know what they’ll get.

This is so stupid. I would go with another company just for this reason. Its a shelf not technology. If I'm buying you product you will answer every question I have or GFY

Not posted & cannot be divulged over the phone. Nutz.....were I a competitor I'd buy one for any dimensions I wanted. Then, I'd sell it at a discount. Wonder if they ever considered that reality?

I’ve been thinking about the mole panels with shelf but have seen a bit too much negative feedback about rago products. I’ll most likely go with someone else

Help me find another molle shelf that can be mounted in as many different locations and I likely would.

@RagoFabrication is this for real? Forums like this are how we find out anyways. All I have to do is ask another customer. Doesn't make any sense. I own a business, and recipe is one thing. Dimensions for the product that's out there is another. SMH

@Moon Landing 1' deep (14" with 1" lip) and 3.5'ft of usable space across. Found info on the internet... in 30 seconds. I will also be applying for their CTO position that I'll pitch they need during my Strategy Consultant interview. This could be a lucrative year, boys.

@Moon Landing just get the Victory 4x4 panels and make your own shelf like I did. There's a ton of mounting holes so it's easy to customize and move it.

BTW, @victoryrunner does post their dimensions and makes a great product. I have had them for a few month but this past weekend I went to Lone Star Toyota Jamboree and *gently* tested out my Ironman suspension. Even with my home made shelf it was super solid and NONE of my gear that was mounted on the panels moved. I can promise you I won't hit anything harder later in life that I didn't hit this weekend, including a little air and some hard shelf hits on muddy uphills.

    May come to that.

Victory does make some great products and my past communication with them was straight forward and to the point.

Just to be clear, i'm not affiliated with them and they don't know me, even though I gave them a great idea they aren't doing anything about LOL. Not picking on them, just making sure you didn't think I was plugging them cause I have something to gain. I bought my panels like a big boy and modified them completely unauthorized.

We do make a cargo basket that is about 27" deep by 47" wide. A higher/narrower shelf is now on the to-do list that will likely mount to the rear hangers with or without our rear window panels.

The irony of this is Rago stole Orange Boxx’s molle window design to begin with. I don’t know if Rago has ever had an original idea.

    Victory!

It was the height issue(lack thereof for my application) that caused me to have to shop around in the first place.

Moonlanding: Hope the link below works - first I've attempted on this forum. I too was looking for more storage options for my 4Runner. Looked at the crossover racks and the window racks - all too $$$ for my simple tastes. Of the little skills I have woodworking is the very least - I just don't have the patience for it but somehow I decided to attempt a solution that would fit my needs and my wallet. If it works, below is a short clip on a very non-fancy solution for my need for a little extra storage. The unfinished wood panels in the background will eventually be hinged to the existing box to provide an extension for cross country road trip "sleep ins".

Well thanks for the compliment, but I really do suck at wood working! I almost climax when working with nuts, bolts, & wires but wood working is a heavy mental strain for me with no joy attached! :annoyed:
