Questions about Bilstein 5100 lift kit before I buy

I am considering buying a Bilstein 5100 lift kit and I am not confident about which options to select. I am looking to get 2.5 - 3 inches of lift on the front and raise the back enough to get the vehicle sitting level. I don't plan on getting new bumpers or a roof top tent or anything real heavy any time soon.

If I get the Old Man Emu 2884 front springs and the Old Man Emu Standard +2.5in rear springs will that allow for leveling the vehicle or will the rear end up being much higher?

I going to get 255/80 r17 tires

here is my setup and i love it!

2” lift Bilstein 6112 kit w/600 lb coils front, 1.5” lift Eibach T13 coils rear, Bilstein 5100 rear shocks, TRD skidplate, TRD stainless catback 285/70/17 Falken WP AT3, Energy Suspension front bumpstops, SSO Slimline Bumper

i believe you can get a max lift of 2.75”-3” in the front if needed.

 

Whats your budget? While 5100 are great and all there are so many other options for not much extra cash.

If I was looking for suspension parts, I go with dobinson.

 

Follow me I have what you want. 255 are dope too. I have the same front struts and springs and 2" in rear which was supposed to be OME but ended up doing ICON. 3/2 lift, not 3/2.5

I ended up getting Bilstein 5100 struts with 2.75" Eiback front spring and 2.5" OME rear spring with OME upper control arms.

255/80/17 Falken wildpeak with steel wheels

I thought I would be good fitting those tires with possibly a little fender trim and caster adjustment, but the shop I took it to is telling me I need a body mount chop. That was a surprise and a bummer. I still need to get that sorted out.

Looking forward to getting the build completed so I can test it out.

 

interesting they told you to do a BCM. I never touched mine and our tire height is almost the same but Im 1.2” wider.

 

Np, good going!! I think the shop is wrong, better chance you'll rub on uca with height tires. BMC typically rubs from high negative wheel offset, and wide tires because of wider trajectory

I should have got SPC upper control arms which would have allowed for more caster adjustment than the OME. The set up ended up rubbing a small amount due to some limitations in what could be done with alignment, likely due to some pre existing damage to the suspension. No body mount chop necessary. I think I will be living with it for the time being. All in all I like the set up and it's been a lot of fun driving around forest roads.

 

How does it ride? I have bilstein 5100 setup currently on my 5th gen with OEM coil front height raised 1.75 inches, non at the back. Rides a little rough so spoke to Eibach yesterday to see if I should go with their pro truck series 1. Instead he recommended because my struts are just a year old I should keep those and use Eibach coils in the front and rear to lift the height. So thats what I ended up ordering. would be nice to know how the ride on the road is as I'll be driving on the regular roads 99.999%. Thanks!

 

I like how it rides, but I don't have much to compare it to since I changed the suspension/tires pretty soon after buying the vehicle. I've been surprised at how smooth it feels on road and off road. I was expecting it to be a bit rougher riding over pot holes and such.
