good day everyone so I had a question for the group, I recently had a SR5 premium with third row,, and converted into a two row completely. However, my car fax still says it is a seven seater, will this affect me if I try to trade the car in to a dealership. I’m assuming once they look up the Vin they’re going to ask where is the other seats? For those of you that have done it, please guide me as to what you have done in the past.

Keep the third seat somewhere safe, replace it before selling.

I highly doubt they will even notice. The last couple vehicles I traded in, they didn't even do a full walk around, let alone test drive it. They run the VIN and assume it to all be accurate. I would bet if you do trade it in they'll go so far as to list it for resale as a seven seater, never having looked.

If they do ask, tell them it was professionally converted. I can't imagine there's any hit to resale.

cant say for sure, but I've traded in a lot of vehicles in the last 40 something years, and I'd be amazed if a dealer even noticed.
