I noted the two air pumps on top of valve covers for emissions. are they for egr system ? dose our engine have an egr system?

They're secondary air injection valves to bring the cats up to temp faster and hotter. There is no EGR on this engine. The pump is the whistle you hear on startup and shutdown. Look into replacing the foam filter with a clamp on because the foam can break down and get sucked in.

It's just under the cover. I removed mine and replaced it with a dry Uni clamp on filter.

Any more details on how replace that filter? I have not looked at the cover details? Just remove a few bolts? Where get the dry Uni clamp on filter?
