Has anyone replace their windshield that has the front windshield wiper defroster addition? My windshield recently cracked and I'm getting ready to replace it but I'm wondering if I need a specific windshield or at least to let them know that mine has that option. My understanding is that the defrosters are built into the windshield is that correct? Thanks for the help

Yes, the grid is built into the windshield. Safelite or whatever glass company you go with should be able to get you that glass.

Don't use Safelite if you want quality installation.

    Sorry have to disagree somewhat.

It depends on the Shop itself and Just like every place out there be it glass shop or Auto repair shops some are good and some are bad, there are Multiple Safelite shops around here and a little research let me know what one is the best and that is where I have gone way too many times between 5 different Autos and 1 boat and always have seen Quality work from them.

yeah just replaced the rear quarter glass on my brand new 2022 at my local safelite and they do quality work.. .they did my old pathfinder windshield as well and it worked fine for 4 years til i traded it... each shop whether big brand or local are all different and one may be great and the other may be a hot mess...

I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
I have safelite 7 times (5 windshields and 2 side windows) and all have been just fine, a mix of their mobile units and dropping them off at their shops
