Hey guys, I just bought my first 4runner and I'm looking to replace the factory PRO roof rack and sell it once the new one is installed. Does anybody know the weight of the PRO roof rack?
Also, does anybody know a reliable (and hopefully inexpensive) shipping company? I know I've seen one company referenced a few times on here, but can't seem to find the posts again.

If anyone has shipped or received a roof rack or any other large item from private sale, your input is greatly appreciated!

if you disassemble it, it should fit in a box like this. I installed mine it weighs less then 50lbs. Just use USPS with insurance and you’ll be fine.

I just ordered my Gobi rack. Once that comes in I'll be able to take the old one off and I'll hit you up at that time. Hopefully it won't take too long.

I’m looking to buy one and would like to pick it up in my other vehicle. What tools would I need to separate them in two halves to put it in the back of a 2015 Ford Escape hatchback?

Hey thanks again for the info. Do you happen to remember the approximate length and width for the cardboard box that you shipped the rack in?

Actually I picked mine up loacally. The picture I found in some other thread to point out it can be broken down and shipped. If you measure the longest part, you’ll get an idea of what size box you’ll need.
