I have a 2022 4 Runner Off Road with a burnt out fog lamp. The OEM lamp is a sealed unit in this particular year. I thought I could simply change out a bulb. Has anyone had any success in finding an aftermarket upgrade with more output that can be installed with little or no mounting modification or fit issues.

Sounds like you have the OEM LED fogs. If you're under warranty, you can simply go to the dealer but if you want more output there are kits from Morimoto and Alpharex or full replacements from Diode Dynamics or Baja Designs.

My 19 has the OEM halogen lights so I chose to go with the OEM LED upgrade for the time.

Thanks. I will check out those manufacturers. It seems as if 22 is an oddball year and much of what works for other years is not compatible with my 22 TRD Off Road.

Your fog lights are still the same plug and mounting bracket as previous years so a full replacement will work. Trying bulbs will not work like it did previous years

I have the SS3 Sport fogs with either yellow or clear (currently using clear) lenses, and they are an amazing upgrade from stock.

Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro or Elite if you want an upgrade. Or just buy a OEM replacement unit- not terribly expensive for just one side.

I can't think of any difference of the 22's from the 20-24's.
