Just waiting for the title to be mailed from the state where it's registered before buying this.

This is a 99 4Runner Limited 2wd 3.7 auto with 174k mi on the clock.

Everything seems to be mechanically sound, (other than the rear bumper needing leveled and the front bumper dent needs repaired.)

The interior is clean and in good condition other than the drivers seat leather seams which need repaired.

The body is in good condition, (other than the bumpers mentioned), the paint is decent (other than the lower trim & rear hatch door which looks like it may be a replacement).

Tires are supposedly about 1.5yr old and about 70% tread life left.

Price is $4500. The guy selling it is a frequent owner of these and is looking for a 4x4 to replace this one.

I feel like the price for this is fair and I'm excited to get the keys and start cleaning it up and fixing the few bits that need fixing. I'll be restoring the seats and leather myself and will likely paint the peeling lower trim pieces either a flat dark grey or black, otherwise the paint just needs some TLC with a buffer and polish.

Looking forward to owning it and talking to other owners on these forums if this purchase works out.

Edit: it looked rust free and suspension seemed about what you'd expect for a 21yo truck. Interior was tight and quiet at speed, no noises, squeaks, rattles or even much wind noise. He said it burns a bit of oil and usually checks it weekly and tops it up before and after long road trips, which seems reasonable. No leaks.

I am wondering if the timing belt is up for replacement, how much does that cost on these? I've done a belt on a 99 A4, so it is possible I could do it.

Very nice. exactly like mine. Look, it appears to have been taken care of. these things are pretty much bullet proof. having said that, rust is the thing to look for. anything else can be fixed. I would replace the timing belt/water pump. there are kits on Amazon with all the necessary parts for $209.00. it is a labor intensive fix but there are great videos on youtube. good luck. $4500 is reasonable for a truck in that condition with mileage. Mine has 245,000 on it and runs like new. It is the most reliable vehicle ever built imo.
