200k on the clock, if you keep up the preventative stuff, 300k to go before major overhaul with no auto gearbox and torque converter to go out on you

Are there any guides on preventative maintenance to 4Runners?

3rd gens were simple enough that just keep on top of fluid changes, and take care of any vibrations early on. Toyotas of that era are old enough now that rubber parts and gaskets are going to get old and starting cracking just due to age and exposure to the element. Work the 4wd parts often, and keep close eye on parts like motor mounts that tend to go around that 200k mark. I don't know what but every Toyota I have had over 200k started vibrating at that mark but a simple replacement had them running like new again.

Does it have the 5VZ v6 or the 2.7L I-4 motor?

make sure you keep an eye on the coolant and any leaks from from the valve cover when the gasket starts going, otherwise that motor got plenty of life left in it.
