Pedal commander

Has anyone installed a pedal commander, chip, and if so is there anything else that should be done to the vehicle with this modification?

 

I had the Pedal Commander in my Tacoma and now have it in my Runner. I absolutely love it. Takes away the throttle lag. I have performance exhaust, AFE Momentum GT Pro 5R CAI, and Jet Mass Flo Air Sensor. Most people will say that all these extra goodies are a waste of money, but in my opinion, worth every penny. You can’t go wrong with the Pedal Commander.

 

Thanks for the reply. I’ve read that the pedal commander does not add horsepower which is fine but how much horsepower would you say you added with the other add-ons?

 

Honestly it’s hard to say how much extra HPs you get with these mods. AFE states on their website that this specific CAI adds about 19+ HPs. Exhaust may add a few more HPs and the Mass Flo Air Sensor is supposed to help with the MPGs, which it definitely does. Many others state to re-gear the Runner for a better performance or even Dyno Tune. Have yet to do those two. I am looking into re-gearing with the 4.88 nitro gears. I do believe with the performance mods I added, my Runner drives a lot better and I do not have to step on the gas to get it going.

 

I love the pedal commander just got mine last week

 

I got the iDrive throttle controller. A. It was cheaper by $100 and does the same thing B. The interface is smaller C. It’s interface is white and I have a deliberate monochrome style on my rig.

 

Just installed mine last week and it took no time at all....and it is exactly what has been missing from getting the full enjoyment of driving of my new Venture. I have even seen an improvement in gas mileage while in City mode which I have heard others experiencing as well. It's definitely a must-do mod in my book!
