Hey all! Quick question. I had a 2019 Tundra, which I bought a Pedal Commander for, model PC27 to be specific. Awesome little device. I traded the Tundra in on my 2020 4Runner, which, according to the Pedal Commander website, also uses a PC27. Does anyone anticipate any issues using the PC previously connected to my Tundra on my 4Runner? Thanks!

I would anticipate zero problems. It's the same part number for both applications. AFAIK, Pedal Commander doesn't monkey with the computer code of the vehicle. It just interrupts it and sends a different code while it's plugged in.

For the record, it works like a charm! Amazing what a little extra throttle response does for these rigs!

How are you liking the 4runner compared to the Tundra?

I did a similar swap, came from a 2017 Tundra limited. I do my V8, but liking the 4runner so far.

I really liked the Tundra, but I LOVE my 4Runner. The Tundra does a lot of things very well, and I do miss the 5.7 and the bed, but the gas mileage was atrocious (12.5 mpg oof) and ultimately, it was just too much truck for what I need right now. I have an emotional connection to my 4Runner that I never had with my Tundra, and I don’t know if it’s for any tangible reason lol.

What are your thoughts after making the switch?

It’s a change not having a truck, I’ve driven one for the past 7 years or so. Yes I don’t miss the gas mileage, I was averaging about 12 in the Tundra and about 15 in the 4Runner. Not much better but still an improvement haha.

I do miss the power, but overall I’m really happy with the 4Runner and think it is practical for what I use it for.

I honestly miss my 2nd Tacoma, that was the one that got away lol.
