    P0500 code. Just wanted to share a recent example and the fix for my situation with 99 4Runner. Blown fuse #25 near steering column and P0500 code. No speedometer, no A/C, no alternator. After deep dive into electrics, the problem was a faulty PRND switch. Simple $155 part to fix the blown fuse issue. P0500 code was shown due to no speedometer but that was a red herring code. Hope this helps. It took hours of labor to test all the electrics to find the faulty part. Enjoy.

    None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
    Thanks for the write up. I HOPE I never need to use it, but it's nice to know about just in case.

    I wonder if the MT is similar in this. Hmmmm....
