Options/Packages in different regions

I like the idea of a bird's eye view monitor so I have a deposit down for an ORP with the Premium Plus option which has the MTM. The sales person at the dealership just let me know it might be a long wait since only 2 of the 1308 4Runners coming to within a 500 mile radius has the MTM. I wonder if this option is that rare or do some different regions of the US get more of them?

I initially had a deposit on a Limited since they all come with the bird's eye monitor but after looking at photos of them they started looking too weird with all that extra plastic on the bumpers and rocker areas so I switched to an ORP. I guess I could just stick a wireless front camera on an ORP like I did on my Tacoma.

 

Both of mine have it. There are different packages based on region when it comes to port installed options, but MTM is factory installed so I would say region has no impact.

 

Remember dealerships want to sell what the have inventory or in this market, what’s allocated and on the way to them. If you really want it, let the sales folks know and they will get you one. And as said, it’s a factory option.

 

Options are definitely region-specific. If you look at the inventory for FL and compare it to Denver, Virginia, or Seattle the stock options vary considerably. With that said though, most dealerships will install locally if your parts aren't available in that port. Looking at some of the Northern midwest areas, KDSS is typically never included in dealer allocation. So, I think your fine custom ordering because I did the same for TRD off-road with KDSS, custom Gibson exhaust, and dashcam.

 

Thanks for the replies. The sales person said I will have one really long wait for the MTM option. I just have to decide it it's worth the wait. KDSS seems more common and might be worth getting.
