Here's the gist of the situation ... I love my 21 OR but we're getting to a point we may need a second vehicle. Money wise getting another newer vehicle with the current payment on the 21 would be stretching me a bit thinner than I may like. Fast forward to a 17 Pro in Cement (which I have just recently seen this color in person for the first time and I absolutely love it) popping up in my feed. I'd have to check it out of course, but it would take what I owe way down on a 4Runner and free up space to get a new second car my wife and kids wouldn't mind driving around in and I would know is reliable.

What would be the pros / cons moving from the 21 OR to the 17 Pro (given the pro is in good condition) in your opinion? I'd move my rack and sliders over to the Pro.

    Thank you in advance.

I'm sure there may be small things but off the top of my head you'll lose
    • LED headlights (I probably wouldn't mind going back to Halogen)
    • AA/CarPlay
    • adaptive cruise/lane departure alert
    • maybe the tire pressure gauge in the dash
    • USB ports somewhere?
Depending on mileage a number of preventative maintenance items should probably be tackled in the Pro so be sure to account for that and taxes, other switching costs since that'll eat into savings.

OR or Pro advantages that's up to you decide - I personally think the only major difference is the color and Pro badges. But for the finances you'd want to look at interest over life of loan rather than principal amount. Even tho you car payment may go down (and letting you afford a 2nd car), you may be paying more over the life of the loan. Classic case for example is you have 36mos left on a loan at 4%, but you refinance that loan for 60mos at 5-7% getting a lower payment but paying more for interest.
