What type of oil filter are you guys running and what brand? I am looking at making the switch to the different housing but need to know what type to buy and is there a specific wrench I would need? Thanks

I use toyota filters. Motivx makes a nice filter wrench and is made in the US.

Always Toyota. Cheap. Don’t buy from Amazon.

OEM filters from the dealer. There are knockoffs on Amazon. +1 on the MotivX tools.

Always used OEM, but this last time just got an STP as it was a special.

OEM. There is literally no reason to consider anything else.
This falls into the category of OEM parts that are available, are cheap and have quality.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
    WIX or Purolator

Wix or OEM but most except Fram are fine. No need to change the housing when you use the correct tool from Motivx.
