I bought my 4Runner back in August and when I got the Carfax report, the previous owner would have the suspension lubricated at the same time the oil was changed. In the past I have changed my own oil but wondering if I should take it in and have it done as well as the suspension lubed. Is the lubrication necessary every oil change?

I don't think anyone lubricates their suspension nor is it needed. This isn't 1962. I have to assume the listing on Carfax is some sort of default 'click this box' for what used to be coded as an oil and filter change and lubrication.

The only "lube" that should be done is prop shaft zerk and driveshaft zerk greasing and even that is really only done every 15,000, 20,000 miles.

Edit, I have no idea about XREAS, I kind of caught that after I had typed... but I doubt it...

Yeah. If I screwed that up with XREAS someone will correct me vigorously here in a minute.

Give it long enough, and the XREAS system will be "self lubricating." Eventually all 4 corners will leak. Yank it out and install regular shocks/struts and springs when that day comes.
