I’ve been using the OFFROAM spring loaded mount for awhile and have been very happy with it. I’m considering purchasing their MagSafe mount with an extended arm. Can anyone provide feedback for either? Already have my iPhone 15 Pro Max in a MagSafe case. Thanks

I actually have also been using the spring loaded one and ordered the MagSafe one yesterday. I should get it next week.

Hopefully its as good as the spring loaded one. Ill report back.

Please do report back! Interested to find out how secure it is. I want to try the extended arm to get the phone further left of the center vents

I've used it for now 2 days. I like how much easier it is to use vs the spring loaded one. I can see however that in offroad situations if might fall..

Another thing I like is that the ease of putting the phone in landscape and portrait mode. I do not regret my purchase.

Might look into a longer arm as well.

Thanks for the update Vic! I ordered and should receive the MagSafe head and long arm by Saturday. I’ll report back on both

    I like Proclip.
    - Works on my Samsung Note(daily runner), iPhone, Samsung, Pixel.. (I mean it has big range of adjust ability from small phones to big phones.)
(Sorry no idea what brand of cases they have. When I get new phones I get them with cases installed, lol.)
    - I like the fact I can touch the phone while keeping hand on the steering.
    - I normally use the cable as charging but can easily change the port to headunit for Carplay / android auto. But I prefer not to use Carplay / android auto.
    - No vents are covered. Even the small vent aimed towards the window for defrosting.

I had the Offroam spring loaded mount in a 2023 Tacoma. The mount was good and everything was sturdy when loading the phone with one hand. Sold the Tacoma and wanted to put the spring loaded mount into the 4Runner and move the mag mount from the 4R to another vehicle. The spring loaded mount in the 4R now "flexy" to me, meaning the clamp mount (to the air vent) moves/flexes more than it did with the magnetic mount when loading the phone. Just ordered another magnetic mount and sidelined the spring mount. The magnetic mount excellent for on-road driving, never had it off road in any moderate/heavy fashion

forgot to mention, the non-charging version of the magnet mount feels like a stronger hold, maybe upwards of +20% over the charging version

I had that problem and one side of the clamp was cracked, only after about 6-8 months. Also it had been mounted so I had to push down when inserting the phone which is mounted horizontal to avoid any A/C vent blocking. With new clamp I oriented the holder to push up on the phone to insert. No problem in several years.

Here is a quick pick of mine. The more I use it the more I like it. Pricey, but worth it.

Received and mounted the MagSafe non charging head with the long arm…simply awesome! Mag mount seems secure enough for mild/moderate off-roading and certainly strong enough for on road travel.
The game changer for me is the long arm! It has 2 thumb screws rather than 1 allowing for infinite adjustability by clocking the attachment points independent of each other. I’m still playing with position but from the pics you can see the phone is clear of the vent, left side radio controls, and when charging the cable is clear of the center stack. 2nd pic shows the long arm and the 2 thumbscrews.
Very happy with OFFROAM’s products. They are pricey but form, function, and build quality are a level above what I’ve seen and used. Highly recommend!
