The flip up lid for my little storage area with the 12v plug will no longer stay down. I'm trying to find a replacement but for the life of me I can't find the part name or the right search terms to find it. All I can find are listings for the smoker version with the ash tray and the lighter but I specifically want the one with the single 12v plug and the larger storage space. Anybody know what that part is called or have a link to a listing for one? Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken Toyota no longer makes or sells the original "ash tray" that you're seeking only the "smoker's kit" which is what you keep finding, your best bet is to get one from a salvage yard or you can find used consoles on e Bay that have the part you're looking for and most of them are less money than if you were to find a new one since new Toyota OEM parts aren't cheap, here a e Bay link to a search that's has a few on there.

I can't recall what its called either but there is a different type of center console that has an exposed 12v outlet and a cubby or smaller door. Its out there, i believe i've seen it on here before someone. I almost bought one to 'upgrade' mine... but decided not to since my door works perfectly fine. Keep searching, i explicitly remember seeing it on my normal Toyota parts dealership near me website.

Are you sure what you're referring too isn't the "smoker's kit", here's what it looks like, if so this what he's been able to find, but he wants the original replacement which is no longer available new.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Yeah I got those same results on eBay, it was either the full center console or the smoker’s kit. I couldn’t find the right search term for the one that’s flush when closed but maybe they’re just that rare. I’ll have to look at the actual hinge, maybe the detent can be fixed by hand or something.

There was a guy on the "other" T4R forum that worked on his, I don't recall if his hinge was broke or it didn't stay closed but he did fix it, I know that's not much help but if you can find his post maybe it will help you fix yours.

If I run across the post again I'll try to get a link posted here.

I didn't find the post I was referring too, but I did find this one, one guy says it's a bent pin and he straighten it and it fixed his door. Edit: And this single post.

I may have actually found what you seek, but I'm not sure but it seems to be it.

Edit: Here's another site with the same part number but it's a used part, just posting it for the better photos to compare to the one photo at the Toyota link, I think we have a winner and Toyota does still sell it, but call them at the above link to be sure it's available!!
