2023 ORP (Barcelona Red) with Moonroof & MTM. No other options, as it appears KDSS is a myth in my part of the world (Texas).

Thanks! Looks like my plans may have changed ever so slightly - another dealer I was speaking with located the same trim I was looking for with KDSS, and it’s already at the port on the west coast … looks like I’ll pics come late August!

Now THAT is a comprehensive list! I wasn’t originally worried about this stuff, but now my OCD and crazy are twitching LOL

All kidding aside, the KDSS was the big one I was on the fence about. After spending a TON of hours on here, I decided that it was the right choice for me and what I wanted out of a 4Runner, so I went ahead and ordered it with that option.

As you may have noticed by the way I phrased that, I am rather aware of what seems to be somewhat polarized opinions on that feature … I figured I’d give it a go. It’s a 4Runner - if you take care of it, stuff isn’t gonna break

 

After a LOOOOONG wait (it feels like it anyway) - I’ve moved from allocation to freight … ETA is anywhere between the 17th to the 31st of August. I’m guessing it’ll be somewhere in the middle; checking with the sales team every few days, and it’s about 1/3 of the way between Long Beach and Albuquerquse after 4 days via rail …

Almost time to order some parts & tires and take a road trip to pick it up!

 

Wish my allocation was on the way too - it was supposed to be unloaded at Long Beach last Friday but the dealer just told me it's still on the cargo ship

 

Mine hit the dock on the 21st of July (also Long Beach CA) - didn’t get loaded on the train until the 10th, and I didn’t have ANY port-added options. Guess they are swamped out there …

O SNAP!

 

Wow I'm in Durango but we're buying it from a dealer in Denver so we can drive up there and sell our daughter our 2015 4Runner TP with only 60,000 miles on it to replace her aging 2002 Honda CRV. I've been working on this since late April to get what I want at four different dealerships - Larry Miller Toyota in Albuquerque didn't even have the courtesy to email me back

 

I was originally going to purchase from Mountain State Toyota as they had what I wanted, but they claimed they couldn’t sell out of state. I worked with a dealer in New Mexico who traded them (it was an allocation) and now it’s on the way for me to buy … deposit is in, and now I wait. It’s a 350 mile drive for me but worth it - no luck getting KDSS through Gulf States Toyota.

 

Wow, what dealer is a 350 mile drive from Albuquerque or do you have to pick it up from Mountain States? When I bought my 2015 TP with KDSS and moonroof from Durango Motor Company it actually had a Mountain States window sticker and had ~325 miles on it so someone drove it down from Denver. And I got it for 5% below sticker price I was working with Durango Motor Company here and Autonation, Mountain States, and Groove Toyota in Denver - Groove is coming thru with a lunar rock ORP with KDSS and moonroof and nothing else so I can get the Predator tube steps that I like. I have been really happy with the classic silver color but wanted a change after eight years.

 

The dealer is about 350 miles from Fort Worth Texas. Sorry, I wasn’t clear; I’m not in Albuquerque. The Intermodal yard is in Albuquerque - from there it goes by truck to the dealer.
