Just installed a set of Method 305's, new TMPS, and BFG KO3's. Of course the sensores have to be programed, Pacific 315 units. Can't find anyone to program these? Was told these are for the Toyota and is commonly used? Waiting on my local Toyota to reach back out to me on this. Here is my question. KO3's air pressure is 47 PSI, that will not match my 2019 factory spare if it has a TPMS sensor. Any suggestions? Any way to disable the dash light and just not care?....lol
    What has everyone else done?

I’m in the “I don’t care, I’ll be just fine” camp.

I’m on my 3rd set of wheels and tires and just gave up on it. Method 701s / Toyo MT’s. I figured I rotate and air up/down enough to keep them properly inflated.

Don’t let my ambivalence influence you, chase the dream!

Congrats on the Methods. I have a set of 703’s with faulken Wildpeaks. I have my air pressure at 38psi but I’m up at high elevation. Strange about the TMPS. I had my wheels and tires put on at discount tire and they took care of everything. Unless I’m missing something, most tire shops should be able to do it for you.

Look in your owner's manual...read up on the "Registration" and "Initialization" processes they outline there for new TPMS sensors. The "Change Wheel Set" part of that is what you need. The 4Runner system will self program them if they are Toyota compatible.

The KO3's are 47 pounds, but the factory are like 35 PSI. So if I have a TPMS in the spare, 2019 SR5P, if I I have different air pressures, will the TPMS system throw a check engine light as of course the difference between the 47 and the 35 if all sensors are found?

47psi seems like a lot to my 32psi, for the same tire. At my psi, I still feel the road quite good and they wear evenly across the tread.

I might try the craylon trick, or any other marking. That's where you market all 4 and then drive checking the ware pattern. Wearing outside only too little psi, wearing inside only too much air.

The TPMS system doesn't care about different air pressures, only minimum. It will only give an alert if the pressure in a tire drops below the set minimum.

By the way, you can set the minimum pressure at which the system will generate an alarm. That's also outlined in the "Initialization" procedure in the owner's manual. My 4Runner spends most of its time on dirt roads so I'm aired down; I reset my TPMS system so the light doesn't come on in the dash unless a tire drops below 25 psi.

None of the 4R models without the matching factory spare wheel (which is only the Limited model, BTW) have TPMS in the spare. Unless Toyota has changed gears on this recently. But definitely not on a 2019 SR5, premium or not.

Ok Thanks. So no TPMS in the spare, and check the Initialization procedure. Very helpful.
