Long time lurker here, finally pulled the trigger.

2020 SR5 Premium with 3rd row with TRD Pro rims and grill, plus blackout emblem overlays. Overlays are OEM from a dealer on the east coast and the grill is from McGeorge Toyota--they delivered it in two days, and it was a super easy install, and it was the correct grill with the notch for the sensor on the 2020's. I really love the TRD Pro grill--it looks old-school and it accents the vehicle perfectly. I looked at other grill options as well, but I kept coming back to the TRD. The rims I negotiated in as part of my purchase to dismount the stock tires, remount, and rebalance, and then I sold my stock rims locally on Craigslist, and sold my old upper grill on eBay. I made about 60% back of the grill and rim combined cost by selling off those items. I powdercoated the stock roof rails at perfectouchpowdercoatings.com - they are near my house in Shorewood, IL. I chose to powercoat rather than paint since I use a Thule rack and box for family trips. Autoenhancepros.com, will be doing the tint, ceramic, and undercoat. Check this guy's place out if you're in the south Chicago area (he's in Orland)--he does awesome work--he did my wife's Highlander tint and ceramic and it looks great. I also got a carpet liner for the third row from FitMyCar--it is a black thin liner that fits perfect, and was $59--I highly recommend this carpet liner if you have a third row and use it, as I do--I've got 3 kids.

Also (all bought through Amazon) popped in a center console organizer by Vehicle OCD, glove box organizer by JoyTutus, silicon license plate holder by Aujen, a digital interior temperature/volt gauge by DROK (plugs into the cigarette lighter next to the USB port--this works awesome for controlling your interior temp--I'm a little OCD), black metal hitch plug by towing planet and locking hitch pin by ORANDESIGNE--I do a fair amount of towing a friend's bass boat I use a couple times a year and I'll towing a flatbed trailer.

When I did the powder coating, a common issue I see people having was reusing/recreating the thin sponge gasket under the roof rack mounts. I used some really durable and stretchy weather stripping I found on Amazon that is 1/16" thick and compresses to nearly nothing, just like the stock gasket. I stuck the weatherstrip tape on the bottom mounts of the bracket and trimmed to size and cut the hole for the bolt with a Stanley knife. It worked outstandingly. I also sealed around the mounting tubes with MG Chemicals 1035 (non-corrosive RTV silicone--MG makes some good stuff--I use their shielding paint to shield the pickup cavities of electric guitars and basses) and used Permatex 57535 seal and lock (it's basically the same locking power as blue Loctite, plus it seals the threads from water intrusion--it's rated for high-pressure plumbing--great stuff) for the mounting bolts.

I have a couple Wisconsin trips planned and there are some rough back roads and fire roads where we go that my old Highlander had a hard time traversing. It'll be cool to see how this vehicle handles.

Anyway, thanks for looking! If you have any questions about the mods, feel free to ask.

Congrats and welcome! I also bought a 2020 SR5 Premium with the 3rd row and blackout emblem overlays except mine is Magnetic Gray Metallic. I’ve replaced the stock wheels and tires and am planning to add the TRD Pro grille tomorrow. I also ordered my TRD grille from McGeorge Toyota and they were great. Can’t wait to have the TRD grille installed on my truck; looks great on your rig.

Hello and welcome from Elgin IL. I just picked mine up in November and have been customizing her. You mentioned off-roading in WI, can you tell me where since I want to do that?

    Nice truck, congratulations!

I know that Jeep, at least on the JK, used to provide different coil springs on different models - Unlimited vs. 2-door, Rubicon vs. Sport, hard top vs. soft, tow pkg, etc. Does anyone know if Toyota provides any different springs for 3rd row equipped 4Rs? Just curious...
