Hi there! First post here. I need to get new suspension and I do not want to shovel over loads of cash for a new XREAS set up. I want to switch to OME or Bilsteins, but I would need to remove the system.
Will I need to remove the whole cross link system or just the tubes around the shocks and struts?
I’m delightedly nervous seeing as how I’ve never lifted anything before, or even toyed with suspension, and I feel like I am missing a lot of information. Can I get some general advice for this upcoming project?

Welcome. You might want to browse a bit in this forum:

    https://www.4runners.com/forums/suspension.19/

Or you could try a search on Google like this: replacing 5th gen Limited XREAS suspension site:4runners.com/

At least 10 results come up when I type that in to the Google search bar...
