94 v6, has valve clatter and pushing 300k. Can I slap a 22r carb motor in? Probably different mounts right? Or is this crazy talk?
Will a 93 pick up front fender fit?
Not sure which models trannys but both 5speed manuals. His is 2wd, mine is 4wd. I might just need a shift fork, has 1,2,R no 3-5, would at least the fork fit if not the tranny itself?

Wasn't the 22re an option for that year? So shouldn't the 22r have the same mounts?

Normally I wouldn't want to put a smaller, older engine in, but this is available and doesn't have many miles on rebuild

it was, my mistake. there should be points on the frame for mounts, but i suspect you'd need to get mounts unless they're with the engine

    Work in progress!
Engine should be good to go, as the second gens also came with the 4 cyl.
That is an interesting question about the fender- I would think that it would fit, but I've never actually thought about it before.
