    Hi
    I’m new here and so is my 4Runner. I have a 2024 and I’m wondering if anyone else has noticed the paint job being thin? I have several chips on the hood already and it seems like there aren’t many coats…
    I suppose I’ll get a bra but for the amount of money spent to buy it you’d think it would have a better paint job. It’s really bothering me and I can’t do anything about it

    Most vehicles manufactured nowadays are robotically painted with only one coat of paint and one coat of clear.
    It’s a bean counters and profit margin thing.
    When normally driven on our roads, chips are going to happen. Installing one of those bras has its own disadvantages, because it traps debris under it. Hopefully you have an insurance policy that covers cracked windshields. It’s something that most of us live with. Enjoy your new ride.
