    2019 4Runner
Greetings All: I just traded in my minty 2012 Dodge Durango Crew for a 2019 4Runner. It was a tough decision to make the trade, but I needed a 4X4 to replace my current 4X4 with a kaput engine. The purpose of 4X4 is strictly for snowy roads, my primary ride is a C5 Corvette which is not good on snow nor tire chain friendly. I don't live in a highly snowed-in area but when we get it, I can be house bound for several days.

First impression(s) of the 4Runner is that it's a beast of a car body on a truck frame, no frills. It lacks many of the bells and whistles of the Durango none of which were deal breakers.

I'm in the process of setting it up, so far so good in getting it personalized, Audio, Navigation, Cell phone, etc. I plan on adding an aftermarket instrument cluster such as the UltraGauge. Any guidance on that would be appreciated.

All: Thanks for the welcoming greetings. I pretty much have the 4Runner set up but still learning some details, mainly in the Navigation system. I drove it last night for the first time with headlights running. I don't like the way they are adjusted, need to figure that out. I haven't yet decided which way to go with the aftermarket display. So many out there it's a challenge sorting them out.

Update: The right-side head light bulb was not installed correctly, one tab on the socket did not engage the receptacle making it beam to the right. I reseated the bulb and is now beaming straight.

I opted for the BlueDriver code reader/display and that is working really well. I have it set up to show battery voltage (voltage at the ECM), coolant temperature, speed and RPM. The combination of the BlueDriver and my model of 4Runner do not show oil pressure, fuel pressure and a few other nice to know measurements. 20231110_141657.jpg
