Hello, i own a 2021 night shade. Truck has barely 38k on it and the AC stopped blowing air today. At first it was intermittent and i thought it was telated to my iphone being plugged in to the USB port. It will also sometimes disconnect when plugged in and play on one speaker. Really weird. Anyway ive tried to read a lot and found these trucks have issues. While i dont want to trade it in, i am seriously considering it. Does anyone know of any common issues with this?

 

Welcome from Wisconsin! Could be issues with the wiring/radio, or one of the 'chips' that seem to run vehicles now. Electrical is not a strong point for me, when the blower stopped on another vehicle I have, it was a blower motor relay. Once replaced, worked like a charm. Toyota may have some issues with electric, sorry I can't help much more than that. Good luck. Maybe the 'search' in the upper right hand corner?

 

Hello and welcome. 4Runners typically don’t have electrical problems. What you’re describing could be rodents chewing on the wiring. I would do a thorough inspection under the hood looking for evidence. Hope you get it figured out!

So as an update, it has completely quit. It works when i start the truck. But then after a few seconds it stops. Im so lost. It wont come back on now. And i havent plugged in my i phone.

 

And there is also a noise coming out of the passenger side. Im going to change the cabin filter today. I hope this is all it is.
