New from southwest MOzarks

Hey all,

New to forum. I have a 2003 SR5 4*4 V8. I got this in 2014 or 15 with about 165k on it. It's sitting at 251k now. It's stock and has been mostly wife's ride for winter weather and makes a great vehicle for road trips. It has had the basic stuff since we got it - front axles and wheel bearings, a set of brakes, set of tires, u-joints, and just finished with rear wheel bearings and axle seals (PITA^2).

I have renewed interest in the truck since I have had to take over maintenance as my local mechanic completely hosed the rear wheel bearing job and left me with a broken vehicle to fix my own self. He got fired and too bad for him, I have five vehicles and when I am busy, I don't have time to wrench on them.

Did both wheel bearings and seals, and the (*&&^%$ emergency brakes. While it was down I dipped the corroded peeling wheels to match the plastic trims/flares, did all the badges and the front grill in anthracite. It matches perfect. I need to sell some vehicles and this one might go, depends on the situation. I am kind of starting to foam at the mouth for some lift on it and may keep it for an off-road toy.

Will have to get some outdoor pics but here she is with her new wheels and grill. Looks so much better. Just completed the work today and test drive, appears all good It's been down for about 6 months with the mechanic that couldn't fix it. Glad to have it back on the road.
