Hey I’m in SW CO on the Alpine Loop. Been a fan of 4Runners since high school but never owned one until recently.

We traveled full time around the country for a number of years and then recently settled down in CO after stumbling on an incredible house in the mountains that needed some love.

We recently purchased the 4Runner and soon after sold our RV. Literally the day we sold our truck and camper we came across a small Casita camper that we knew was perfect for the 4Runner.

long story short, my interests are mostly travel related, but also practical mountain life applications for our awesome little machine.

I’ve been lurking on the forums for months now, absorbing as much as I can. I’m now at the point where I’m ready to start making some decisions and I can already feel the questions forming.

I’ll probably spend the majority of my time contributing to travel threads, performance threads - especially related to towing, and anything going on in Southwest Colorado.

Welcome Matty from the east side of the mountains. What wheels are on your Runner - they look familiar, but I can't figure it out. Casitas are sweet little campers!

    Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Thanks! The old rig was a beast. We took it everywhere and it never complained. The 950ftlbs of torque really spoiled me. The new rig tows great with the exception of some big hills. I live at 10k feet, so I’ve got a lot of big hills around me, lol - so naturally I’m looking to give the piggy 4Runner a little boost.

Thanks! We spend quite a bit of time in AZ - especially in the winter. Pretty much spend every New Years somewhere out in the desert... Ajo probably being our favorite.

ProComp series 40 Vertigo - there are some things I liked less about them when I saw them in person, but overall I don’t hate them haha.
