I'm about to pull the pin and purchase a 2024 4Runner SR5 2wd. After 17 years of ownership of my current 2006 Tacoma with 191,000 miles I've decided on a change of "lifestyle".Part of my decision making is it will be nice to upgrade to a few additional safety features along with a backup camera, etc. At age 71 this could well be my last vehicle? What a hell of a thought! I've had Toyota trucks for close to 20 years. I dabbled a little looking around at other trucks/suv's to replace my trusty Tacoma. Part of my motivation at this time is as I understand it, this will be the last production year for the 4Runner with the trusted V6 as is now in my 06 Tacoma. I think I have found a reasonable deal at $44k+ out the door price. Being that this is not "my first Rodeo" and hopefully not my last....I've done my homework and believe I am making the right change and choice. I have wanted a 4Runner for many years!

Welcome aboard Bob. I trust you will not regret the decision to move to a Gen-5 4Runner from your 06 Taco. I own 2 of them myself and am completely satisfied with them both with plans to keep them both for lots of years ahead.

Thank you. I usually keep my vehicles for many years and maintain them weil. My wife tells me this will be my last vehicle, (Age 71) That's one hell of a thought!

Welcome from Wisconsin! The Tacoma will always be 1 of my favorite pick-ups, my situation is similar. You're going to like the 4Runner.

Welcome, and I think that is a great choice. Having owned by a Tacoma and now on my second 4Runner, you won't be disappointed.

Welcome from NM. Am I the only one, though, that feels like you could do better than $44k, seeing as you want 2wd? That seems high.
