Morimoto gen 2 headlights - left drl not working

I’ve read up on this and have tried everything without solving the issue.

I can run the lights without the fuse tap and they work fine. Turn the stalk to drl and they turn on.

I would prefer them on always, I’ve tapped both efi fuses as well as mirror heating fuse and when I do, the passenger side drl won’t turn on. And when the car is locked the driver drl won’t turn off

has anyone solved this? Each thread I read about these lights have different issues but I don’t see a fix aside from just not tapping the fuse and just not having always on DRL’s

 

I’ve changed the fuses to ensure they’re not blown and that didn’t fix it.
Harnesses are installed driver side / passenger side and are the upgraded ones for the trd pro

 

What doesn’t make sense to me is when when I unplug and plug in the drl adapter “add a fuse” the headlights work but the passenger drl just won’t turn on. Only when drl is activated at the stalk. This is driving me nuts !

 

End up resolving left DRL? Having same problem
