More Advice please.

3in OME, total chaos UCA, and expedition one rear bumper being installed Nov 12th. Now I need to figure out what to put on for wheels and tires. I originally thought about keeping stock rims (grey TRD) and mounting 285/75s in but was told I may need to cut, go spacers or buy different rims with more spacing to avoid rubbing (do not want to do any body cutting)

Do I;
-Buy spacers and keep stock rims? (Mix reviews on spacers)
-Buy rims and tires (break the bank a little bit)
-keep stock rims and go down to 275s?

If you guys have any of these set ups let me know what you think.

 

Have you received the Expedition One bumper? If so I would love to see pics. and if it met your expectations. Have you done anything on your wheels and tires?

 

Not yet, they are little more backed up then I originally anticipated. Going on December 12th! I’ll let you know.

Personally, I would be happy with 275’s.

 

If your TRD wheels are 7" instead of 7.5 I would not put 285's on. There is no tire manufacturer that I know of that recommends their wheels on a 7" rim. I am aware that it can be done and many do it with no ill effects, I just wouldn't.

I concur Bill...
With the 3 inch lift you're gonna want a little beef to your tire or it'll look a little off because of the larger space. 275's should look fine tho.

Are your wheels 16 or 17s?

285/75/17 is a lot bigger than 285/75/16
