Hello yawl. New to the group. I have a 2021 4Runner SR5 that i recently purchased. I was looking into either 1.25 spacers or 275/70r17 tires. Anyone know if i can run 275's without any major rubbing? Don't really mind a little rubbing in full lock as I'm rarely in it. Seen mixed responses elsewhere. Also have gotten mixed responses on the spacers as well. Most recommend SpiderTrax and a lot of folks saying they're not worth the potential damage to the vehicle. Any advice would be appreciated!

275/70r17 tires fit without rubbing on my TRD ORP with factory wheels. SR5 wheels have the same +15offset and I believe you should not have issues fitting them.

Wheel spacers and after market wheels with big offsets more likely to introduce rubbing since when you push the tire out now the outside have a bigger circle turning.

    Edit -
On a side note, I disliked the ride comfort of my 275/70R17 Load E tires. So I got 285/70R17 Load C tires with a small lift and minor plastic trimming to the lower part of the front bumper and push the fender liner forward.

    in my case:
Original Limited rims 20x7 did not rub with spaces with the original 245 width tire.
Original Limited rims 20x7 with winter 275 width tires major rubbing with spacers.
Summer set up Asanti wheels 22x9 with 275/45/22R no rubbing. Wanted 285/45/22 probably would still fit without rubbing or maybe a bit as currently around 6mm space left between tire and fender liner.
