Anyone got instructions on removing a failed KDSS and replacing with a non-KDSS 4Runner suspension?

@Bob, @Fahrenheit suggested to copy this TW tire size calculator on this forum somewhere. I figured since it's on our sister site, it would be OK.
Maybe this is the proper section? Unless it's already posted somewhere...

I'm surprised there aren't any tutorials on changing oil for us newbies. Do you all generally just YouTube those simple tasks?

I wish there was tutorial on how to not make a mess. After decades of changing my own oil, I still make a mess somehow, some way.....

I learned to change oil on my 93 T4R SR5, then the 99, then on to MINIs..... I am right there with you. THEN I have kitty litter everywhere. No win. I just do it myself to make me feel like I'm doing something tough for a lil ole lady.

That and I don't trust the quickie oil change places. And I'm not familiar with the local dealerships. YET!

A friend of mine had to have an engine replaced in his gmc pk up, because of a quick change. When I bought my used 4runner, local dealer gave free changes for the term of the loan. Never again. Stripped skid plate bolts, and the wrong size filter element.
Not much better than the quick change if you ask me.

Definitely not in that scenario. My two previous vehicles were DIY or dealership. I live in kinda small town TX and they mostly don't even Know what a MINI is. Maybe I'll check out some local shops. It just gives me the jeebies to take it to an unknown.

I prefer not to let my vehicles out of my sight while being worked on.
A courtesy driver at my local dealership confided that trucks are given to the newbie technicians because the tires are heavy and oil filters/skid plates are troublesome. And bets are placed on How Fast he can get the job completed!
Now I purchase all my materials: oils, filter, washers, shocks, pads etc. and I provide lube pumps and the oil filter wrench in case the mechanic does not have correct tool handy.
My prefered independent local shop has bays where I can stand and see everything done!

Well, dang, y’all. I gotta stop being so trusting. But also, I like to do my part to keep the economy going, so I contribute to capitalism when I can and go to dealer or Valvoline depending on the car.

    .

I bought a 4 uncles fluid extractor on Amazon for bout $50. Cheaper and safer than an oil change at the shop .. holds 6ltrs of fluid .. stick the tube down the dip stick into the pan and pump it out .. this one even has a ballcock so you can hook up a compressor and it will pump out automatically.. . Oil change transfer case diff use it for any fluid and 99.99 % zero mess .. pump take it to Napa they will dump it ..
