MODS ... Is there a place to post deals you found online

I recently came across what seems to be a great deal for a local buyer and would love to let the community know about it but I have nothing at all to do with it nor is it anywhere near me. I do not want to seem like I'm trying to circumvent the rules so thought I'd ask first as some other forums I'm on do have a thread dedicated to that.

While looking at many online marketplaces (ebay, offerup, fbmarketplace) I come across deals that aren't of interest to me or may be too far from me to take advantage of and would love to be able to share so someone else may get a deal. Do we have a thread for that. I searched a handful of terms but didn't see one.

Haha, If I knew them I'd ask but I peruse a few market places (ebay, offerup, fbmarketplace,etc) often and come across deals that aren't of interest to me but may be to others. I could reach out and ask them to join but a lot of times it seems they are actually parting to sell so I don't know if that would be useful. But if I posted what I found here someone local may score a deal who may not have been looking.

 

Would be interesting to have an additional marketplace, assuming it doesn't become saturated with scammers

 

One of the other forums I'm on (not vehicle related) has a "found on ____" thread. You just post the link and info in the thread and then anyone who is local and interested can just use the same common sense they would if they had found it on their own. This is just a way of sharing things you've found that may help others. For instance if someone posted a link to a set of mint Dark Grey trail rims near me I'd do my own research into it and would in no way blame the person sharing if it didn't work out.

 

If you have a link to a set of 5 dark grey trail/off road wheels near me, I'll do one of those things people do for a Klondike bar

 

I actually found a set semi-local recently (2hrs away and still listed actually) but when I asked for more pics because his were not very clear I never heard back... Some of the do the work I was talking about. I don't have 2hrs to waste driving there to find rims in shitty condition or that have been painted so I stopped bothering trying with that seller. But I constantly am looking. This is where I come across other things.
