Misfire at 3000 rpm

    I have a 99 4runner it starts to misfire at 3000 rpm like the rev limiter is kicking in I have changed the plugs, wires, and coils new fuel pump and knock sensors battery and fuel injectors with no change if you keep it under the 3000 rpm it drives and functions just like it should any help would be greatly appreciated

    Did you change the fuel filter too?

    And is it just at 3000 (like, can you get past it)? Or can you not rev above 3000?

    You might want to look at replacing the tps (throttle position sensor), a lot of times a bad tps will cause hesitation, a lot of times it will not throw a code for a bad tps

    P0172 no check engine light had a few misfire codes on 2 and 3 been cleared only one that won't go away is the p0172

    You should hook up a scanner and look at fuel trims. That code means you have a rich condition which potentially caused those misfires.
