Yesterday, I arrived at a milestone I was looking forward to with my truck.

In 2019, when I decided to end decades of Jeep ownership, I put my 2004 Wrangler Rubicon TJ up for sale, along with my 2013 Tacoma 4x4, which I bought new in 2013. The plan was to sell both to finance a new 4Runner. The plan went well, I sold my TJ for $17k and my Tacoma for $25k. There I was with $42k to make my 4R purchase. Then came a bit of a sidetrack, as my wife wanted a different vehicle also...she sold her 2012 Honda Civic for $7500, but her newer vehicle was around $14.5k, so we used some of the funds from my vehicle sales to purchase her newer ride.

All that to say when I got my new 2019 OR 4R, the deal ended up requiring around $7500 being financed. I don't remember the length of the loan, but yesterday, after 18 payments, and $265 in interest cost, I paid that loan off.
That just feels good. Not quite as good as paying cash up front, but still...

Congrats! I'll be joining the paid off club later this year. It'll be the newest paid off vehicle I've had.
