I got some bummer news back from the dealership about my T4R today. I took it out this weekend to do some camping up a fun forest road. When I tried to shift into 4L to do some crawling, nothing happened. Well, apparently a mouse got underneath and chewed up some wires and they have to take off the transfer case switch to fix it :( Now she's in the shop for at least a week (they're apparently super booked up). I saw another post about this happening to someone else last year - apparently the new wire encasing attracts mice much more easily. Just thought I'd give y'all a heads up - WATCH FOR MICE!

On top of all of this, someone backed into my car with a bike rack this weekend and did a number on the front bumper (hit and run - nice). Time to replace that too. Not a great weekend for my wallet or T4R.IMG_8992 (2).jpg

Wow, sorry to hear that, but what wire did the mouse chew up exactly?

Sorry for you're weekend.. that sucks. My dad is from Bozeman, spent a lot of time there when I was younger. My mom is from Conrad, most of my family still lives there. We are throwing around the idea of moving to Kalispell ( maybe Great falls). Montana is beautiful and I would love to make it home at some point. Hopefully your rig is fixed soon so you can get back to enjoying it!

Oh nice! Bozeman is such an incredible place. Personally I would stick with the idea of moving to Kalispell over GF (I was born in GF - not much to do there except see your family in Conrad and go to the Sip n Dip). The access to beautiful lakes and mountains is unrivaled up by Kalispell! Glacier, Flathead Lake, Seeley-Swan Valley, great Forest Service Roads and campsites, etc. I might have to make the move up there one day...
Thanks a bunch! I hope you can come enjoy MT on a permanent basis soon.

That's a huge bummer! We have giant pack rats here in Arizona, and they used to chew up the wires on my Scout all the time. I tried traps, moth balls, bright lights, and nothing worked..:frustrated:
