    Hi Guys!

Brand new member here! I have a leased 2019 Tacoma trd offroad and I have convinced the dealer to give me payoff for it on my lease if I trade it in. I'm going to see a 21 4runner trd OR tomorrow. I should be able to get the new runner for around $38k plus tax/title.

Is there anything to look out for when buying a new 4runner? I guess I'm just excited and a little nervous bc its a lot of money and I don't want to make any mistakes. I should have bought a 4runner in the first place but got talked into a Tacoma. Time to make this right! lol

Not too much to be worried in a new vehicle, just take it on a test drive and make sure you enjoy how it drives/rides. I think the Tacoma has more tech to offer with a more appealing interior, so make sure that’s something you like. I switched from a 2017 Tacoma earlier this year, and the 4runner isn’t as nice inside but overall a better vehicle and has a better exterior look.

Welcome from Wisconsin! Again. We got into our 4Runner after a 2017 Tacoma TRD OR, while the Tacoma had a few more bells and whistles, we got used to the 4Runner real easily. The 4Runner is real easy to drive, the thing about the Tacoma was the almost constant shifting, we still liked the Tacoma, but thinking we made a good choice on the 4Runner, so enjoy yours!

Congrats! You'll love the 4runner. I had a 2020 Tacoma ORP and vastly prefer our 2021 4Runner ORP.

    Welcome!

4Runners are cool. What other vehicle has such a short wheel base, is superb offroad, can carry 7 people and you can comfortable sleep in? The Swiss Army Knife of SUV's.

I still peruse it off and on. There are some really good threads and some not so much. It's like a flaming car accident you can't look away from haha. Very active community though and a good bit of it can still be applied to the 4Runner.

The Wisconsin Tacomas group has been getting pretty active. I've organized and attended a bunch of events over the last few years. I'm trying to get more 4runners involved. Although, sometimes it's nice having the coolest vehicle. :bananadance:

Honestly, though, some of those guys have really nice builds.

The Tacoma had JBL audio, Blind spot monitor, and parking proximity warning, like I said "a few", which one do I like driving better.. ya, the 4Runner! 4Runner has traversed tougher terrain than the Tacoma already(2700 miles odom.) Thanx for checking on me A&P! ha ha

The 3rd gen Tacoma’s are way more loaded compared to the 2nd Gen Tacoma’s.
The 3rd Gen Tacoma compared to the pre 2020 model 4runners has more to offer in the interior.

Those tires really change the look dramatically! Is the same tire size? Just all terrain? Sorry if dumb question still not an owner until next year.

Congrats from SC! You might have beat me mileage wise, but only by 8! Haha. Having Toytec level on front next week as well as some additional tint on all windows. Enjoy the new ride!

AT tires make all the difference if you drive dirt/gravel roads. Smart choice.

    Feel free to ask
    Welcome.

What size/load rating you get those wildpeaks in? Is the 70-80 mph steering wheel shake with the wildpeaks still a thing?
