I’m changing my oil today and am using mobile 1 0w-20 as recommended and wanting to put Lucas in… I have 2 or three quarts of non synthetic lucas and know that Toyota uses fully synthetic oil. And that Lucas does make fully synthetic Lucas oil stabilizer however it’s 21.99 and I’m broke. I’m just wondering if it’d be okay to use the “regular” Lucas in its place?

You'll be fine. So you're basically mixing 1/2 synthetic Mobil 1 and 1/2 non-synthetic Lucas? You'd be essentially creating a "synthetic blend". As long as the Lucas is the same weight. I would also consider shortening the interval on this oil change.

Waste of money, any brand of synthetic changed every 10k miles and the motor will last way longer than you own the vehicle. My favorite brand of synthetic is the cheapest one I can find.

    You don’t need additives.

Unless I misunderstood, the OP was concerned about mixing a synthetic with a non-synthetic. I agree that an additive is pointless.

I agree with not using the additives, you don’t need to.

Lucas oil stabilizer is thick as gear oil. I would not add any of this in anything I wanted to keep long term.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.

    You'll be fine.
Wonder if Lucas Stabilizer has any additional molybdenum in it? If so, might be an alternative to buying LiquiMoly additive. :computercoffee:

Just changed my oil with the correct TGMO 0W-20. Mobil makes it but it's specked with the extra moly. Not all 0W-20 full synthetic has this as Toyota has intended.

I'm sure many other oils are just fine if regularly changed but it's not like TGMO is going to break the bank.
