    Hello everyone,

I’m going to change tires on my 4Runner. I’m looking for AT KO2 or AT Wrangler DURATRAC, stock size. As I use my 4Runner as a daily car, and probably 2 times off roaring per month. Also I can always keep them without changing tires for winter. But my question is, should I change for LT tires, I see both of them have LT tires, does LT tires will wear quickly the rods because it weights more heavier?
    Thank you guys!!!

Depends on where you offroad. If you're going through areas with a lot of sharp rocks that could potentially penetrate a sidewall, then go with the LT's. If your offroading is more along the lines of dirt or gravel trails, you'll be fine with a P rated tire. I wen't with a P rated 285 A/T on mine because the offroading I do is more like the second scenario. Mine have done great!

LT ride rougher on road in my experience. I have load C rated LT tires on right now. Load D or E would have stiffer sidewall still so road ride would suffer more.

C are ok I'm but thinking about going to p-metric next time since 4R became family hauler more than offroad toy.

I enjoyed your typo of "off roaring" because roaring is what you will get out of Duratracs.

Had them on my Tacoma, they get loud.

I'm much happier with my Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Some noise, but it's minor.

Yeah, I ran Duratracks C Range on my previous Tacoma. The problem with noise is that as the tires age the alignment issues accumulate and as the tires wear they create cupping and other variations in the tread that translate to noise. When you first put them on they’re pretty quiet. Also alignment is really important especially if you go off road a lot. You might not even recognize that your front end gets bumped around a fair bit. Also, some shops offer pretty mediocre alignments by techs who hate what they do and are waiting for the day to end.

Same here. I looked at Duratracs for my last vehicle, until I drove a friend's Jeep with them. I wouldn't want to live with that growl on my 4R.

The same can be said for a lot of tire stores. They tend to try and balance tires as quickly as possible and get you out the door asap.

For the past 12 months I've been riding on the Cooper AT3 LT tire - C load. Been great in all 4 seasons on road and off. I have them balanced when rotated and they ride pretty smooth and quiet.

glwood54, they are stock size 265/70/17. I'll take some pics and post after the weekend.

I had these tires as well and really liked them. When it was time for new, I couldn't find them in the side I was using (275).
I replaced them with Falken Wildpeaks, l I'll them as well.
    Both sets were C load.

I have load range C KO2’s and I like them. I would not go any higher than C for comfort and weight savings. I’m may go back to a P next time, I don’t off road as much as I used to.
