when I saw the low tire pressure light goes on I checked the tires and put air in the ones that needed it. The light has not gone off even though the pressure for all the tires are adequate. Is there something else I am not seeing? Is there a way to reset the light so that it goes off? Thanks

Did you check the spare as well?

There is not a sensor in the spare.

You have to drive it. After 100 feet or so the light will go off. If it does not then you have a low tire (still) or some fault in the TPMS. The threshold for TPMS to activate is around 28 PSI I believe.

Usually it goes off when I put air in above 35PSI but this time it hasn't

Did you drive it? If not, do. If you did, then check the other tires again and especially check the one that was low initially to ensure you don't have a fast leak. If they are all ok then I don't know what to tell you.

You say "usually". How often do you have a low tire?

Also with the outside temp change you may have to get your TPMS reset. Mine would always need resetting during the climate change of the seasons until I disabled it....

How old are your TPMS? My wife's '08 had a battery give out and had to be replaced. I also have had a new TPMS give me intermittant indication of low tire pressure. We couldn't find which one was the faulty TPMS so I finally disabled the TPMS module from info found on this website.

It blinked for a minute at first and then turned solid. I had a tire shop scan all 5 TPMS and they found one that was not registering. They replaced it and it's been functioning with no light on since then.
