I’m currently running the Nitto terra grappler 285/70/17 man they are noisy and wearing fast! Looking for an aggressive tire that’s that’s less noisy and better rubber (wearing)

Toyo Open Country R/T Trail. 45k mile wear rating, not really that noisy at all, more aggressive than most AT tires but not as aggressive as a full MT tire.

Just had these put on last week and they are great. I've run Toyo tires for many years on several different trucks and they are always a good tire. The other bonus, the tires are made in the USA.

I run Toyo open country AT2’s on my Tacoma (2nd back to back set) and Michelin defender LTX’s on my 4Runner. Both are great, not too noisy and handle well. Different purposes but would recommend either.

I don't know if they're aggressive enough for you, but General Grabber ATX has great road manners, and have over 40K on mine and they still have a lot of life left.

A lot of brands have come out with "RT" type tires recently, I'd look into those as well.

Nitto's Recon Grappler is great. Quiet on the highway, wear evenly, and good offroad. Have about 5k on them so far, not much wear

I am still enjoying my Goodyear Duratracs, great AT/Mud tire with great snow and wet traction. Also not that noisy, but that's subjective and opinions vary. Its going to be tough to find a aggressive tire that's quiet and is durable.

@4runner Robbo If it was me, I’d go with the Recon Grapplers since they’re Nitto and you already have them. You can probably warranty them and get credit towards your new set. The Recons have a 55k warranty too

I've had BFG K02's and am on Falkens now, both are good tires. Soft, but not noisy. I lean towards BFG's because I like an aggressive look and go off road a lot (can't afford General Grabbers), but these Falkens were a gift so I took them.

    They're a decent tire.

Oh that's interesting, when I bought my Generals they were about 60 bucks a tire cheaper than BFG K02s.

Exactly, even those aren't cheap tho which is why I don't have K02's or a dog. I'll sometimes I just go with whoever sponsors my off-road race car...atleast those are free. ‍♀️

Toyo AT3's. BFG's are crappy tires. They are not what they used to be.

Definitely not what they used to be, agree. I ran Yok's for a while too but only bc they sponsor me. I'll have to check out the AT3's.
