I've been there... Did a year or so at Prosperity (contractor) then was down at the Basra Consulate.

I drove an unarmored one a few times in Djibouti.

 

Ah yeah, I’m contracting. Some of the senior guys have been out here since Prosperity was open!!

 

I was there / Basra back in 2012ish which was post withdrawal / pre-Isis w/ KBR. Went home when KBR lost that contract. Then went to Djibouti for 3 years.

I almost bought a Taco instead of a 4Runner. I really liked the 2014 Hilux I had as a company car in Djibouti:



Kind of re-taught myself to drive a manual transmission. I hadn't driven a manual since the Army - 1996. Lots of fun.

Found the 2019 Taco's too cramped inside and bought a 4Runner instead.

 

They still serving steak and lobster tail Saturday night?
