Long time owner, new forum member, central FLA

Hey guys, long time reader and follower, but just signed up. First thing, I live in Satellite Beach Fla. and I’m an engineer. I’m joining this forum after following for a long time.

I’m on my 3rd 4Runner and I’ve bonded with and loved them all.

First one was a 2006 SR5 lease, a bluish/gray metallic (can’t remember the color name) 4 years and turned it in with 47k miles, 1000 shy of contract limit. Loved it, 100% reliable and lots of family road trips.

Second one was 2010 Limited Black on black. Drove off of the lot the day I turned my lease in. I went through hell and back with that truck. I honestly got teary the day that I traded it in. Kendall Toyota (Miami) told me after a service visit that I had a “DEEP” engine leak and the repair would be $5-7k but couldn’t quote till after the work was done. This was at 100k miles. At 110k, I traded it in on an Acura RDX. Acura offered me $5k more for the Runner than Kendall Toyota so it was settled. This was 2018.

Moving forward to 2021, I couldn’t stand to be without a 4Runner a day longer. I missed my ‘10 every damn day. I located a 2022 SR5 at Melbourne (FLA) Toyota on the lot for MSRP. My Acura had 80k miles after 3 years and I got crazy $$$ in trade, so I did what any reasonable person would do and parked the Acura and drove away with another Runner.

So that’s my story, started in ‘06 and 3 4Runners later, still in love. My favorite vehicle ever.

For the record, I would highly discourage anyone from doing business with Toyota of Kendall, aka Kendall Toyota (Miami). Long story but I’d be willing to tell it if anyone is interested.
